(Correct me if I’m wrong) but it sounds like something in your blower actuator might be stuck open, and it’s trying to close, causing that clicking noise.

Could be a mode door actuator (the one that switches between vent, defrost, or feet) or a blend door actuator (switching between hot and cold air).

My first thought was the mode door too. Sounds like a gear with broken teeth.

Mine was behind the glove box, in the worst spot. Supposed to be a 5-minute job, but took me two hours.

This is exactly it. My wife’s Ford Flex does the same thing. We call it our little Gremlin trying to get out! :joy:

Yeah, classic Fiesta and Focus issue.

That’s the air conditioning actuator gear. Likely a broken gear tooth, so when you turn on the AC, it slips. You’ll need a tech to replace it.

It works perfectly, even with the clicking! It only clicks when I turn it off, and it’s just the heating part. So weird!

The actuators aren’t too hard to replace.

My Fiesta did the same thing. It’s the actuator behind the dash for the vents.

Just to add, even though it’s clicking, everything still works fine! It stops clicking the second I turn it on. Really weird!
