Car just hit 100k miles

Just hit 100k miles on my 2015 SE. The transmission is still holding on. It jolts and stutters now and then, but nothing too bad. I had both the TCM and a clutch motor replaced about a year ago, and the clutch motor alone cost me $440. Other than that, the car runs great, aside from the Sync system acting up every month or so. Hoping to keep it running for as long as possible.

Congrats on hitting 100k! Lil bro is growing up!

Here’s to another 100k :muscle:

Thanks! Fingers crossed I can get as much out of it as possible. I love this car way more than my last one, which was somehow even less reliable.

@Lake
I’m at 270k now, so keep pushing!

I’m almost at 210k myself!

I’m at 130k and still going strong. You’ve got plenty of miles left in her!

That’s the plan! This car’s been way better than my old one. It was 14 years older, though, so no surprise there. Hopefully, the transmission holds up for a while longer.

$440 sounds like a bargain! Where are you located? Have you done your coolant swap and changed the spark plugs yet? I’m at 83k miles with the auto transmission sport package. Wonder if there’s any difference?

@Sam
I’m in Louisiana! Yeah, $440 was a steal, especially since a dealership did it. I’ve swapped the coolant but haven’t changed the spark plugs yet. No engine issues so far, and the dealership hasn’t mentioned it. Just working on getting the tires and brakes done soon.

I’m at 184k miles, and it’s been the best car I’ve ever had.

@Ellington
This is my 2012 SE hatchback. I had the transmission rebuilt at 185k miles. Sounds like your car is in great hands and could easily reach another 100k!

@Ellington
Wow, she’s a beauty! Love the color! :heart_eyes:

Had clutch actuator issues at 9k, 22k, and 66k miles. I finally did the clutch, forks, and seals myself at 66k. Runs better now than it did after Ford’s two previous repairs. These cars are great if you know how to handle the transmission. Congrats on hitting 100k! Watch out for more transmission problems around every 20k miles, though.

@Hadi
It took me a while to get used to driving it, coming from regular automatics. I really hope that 20k rumor isn’t true. The car’s been acting up a bit lately, but I think it’s from all the stop-and-go traffic I’ve had to drive through. I was so anxious about damaging the transmission.

@Lake
If you’re handy, it’s not too bad of a DIY. The parts and tools will run about $1200. You’ll also need a good OBD2 scanner for the adaptive relearn process.

I’d love to, but I don’t have a place to work on it. I’m living in an RV park, and they don’t allow any kind of mechanical work on vehicles. Plus, I just spent a bunch of money on a tech upgrade I needed.

@Lake
Where are you living?
