Ford Focus Issues, Any Mechanics Near Me work On Them, Or Does Anyone Know Someone?

I bought a Ford Focus this year, but it’s been having a lot of problems. It drives, but there are issues with the clutch assembly and maybe some reprogramming needed. I’m looking for a small mechanic shop or someone who knows how to fix these problems in Lansing, Michigan. If you have any recommendations or advice, I’d really appreciate it.

I went to Cottman’s in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where they have a lot of cars. I had my clutches and actuators replaced at 189k miles, and now, at 218,600 miles, I’ve paid $3k. This also included a CV axle replacement and a rear main seal. So, the actual cost was around $2.7k.

Other than my bushings in my control arm squeaking the trans is all good.

That’s great! So, it drives normally now, with no hesitation when shifting? I’m glad to hear there’s still some hope left :hugs:

There’s no hesitation when shifting, bt remember that these trans don’t like stop-and-go city traffic. They work better with long drives, like on the highway. You get the best results with good driving habits.
