How can I make my 2009 Ford Focus coupe look better…any ideas?

Chrome wheels… trust me, more color is better.

I usually like chrome, but with all-black trim, it wouldn’t match. Maybe another time.

Didn’t realize they made a 2-door Focus aside from the ZX3 hatchback and the convertible. Thought coupes were just the Escort/ZX2!

Yeah, this one’s super rare. Found it in great shape with only 150k km and no rust.

It’s also the USDM version… not many were sold, apparently. It’s a nice car, especially in the SES trim.

Check out massivespeedsystem.com. You could swap in Mustang GT brakes, better wheels, tires, and some upgraded suspension.

No problem. I love these cars! I’ve got an ‘08 4-door. First and second-gen Focus with Duratec engines are underrated. You can get real power with a turbo on that 2L engine. Not many suspension options, but you can adapt Zetec coilovers from earlier models… check out massivespeedsystem for parts.

@Brady
I’m not super knowledgeable, but I also have an ‘08 4-door and would love to see what adding a turbo could do. Sounds fun!

Go for it! Massivespeedsystem has parts. The second-gen doesn’t have a ton of aftermarket stuff, but first-gen parts usually work since they’re so similar. Just be careful… some of the early first-gen models use a Zetec engine. Also, the Duratec is actually a Mazda engine (L/MZR), so there are lots of aftermarket options!

@Brady
Thanks so much for the advice!

Amazon has black housing headlights for $80… makes a big difference!

That car is not junk! Show it some respect.

A solid cut and buff job and a headlight restoration could really make it stand out.
