while on my way home, I got a message saying the transmission is hot or overheating. I checked the codes and found P07A4, P2701, and P2787.

This is somehow better
It seems like one of the actuators is malfunctioning and causing it to stick. The fix is to replace the faulty actuator, which you can buy on Amazon for around $80 or less. It’s fairly simple to replace yourself, or you can have Ford do it for about $250.
I’ve had to replace actuator B twice since I’ve had the car.

Great! I think I know where the actuators are: one is under the air box and the other is underneath the car, right?
