Is a 2015 automatic Ford focus hatchback worth buying

I’m looking to buy the Ford focus with 100k miles and in good condition for 3,000 is this worth it?

No, the automatic transmissions in those cars are not reliable. Some people had to wait over a year for parts because they were so back-ordered. The parts couldn’t keep up with all the broken transmissions.

Mazdas in a similar price range generally have better-built transmissions and nicer interiors, in my opinion. If you really want a Focus in that body style, consider learning to drive a manual transmission instead.

Even if you only drive for 30 minutes a day a few times a week??

The amount you drive doesn’t matter with the DCT.lol

I’m close to 130,000 miles. I replaced the clutch for $1,800, and I’ll probably get the TCM (Transmission Control Module) replaced at the dealer because it’s acting up. I get one replacement for it. I think it will work fine after that. I’d ask if the TCM has been replaced. My issues started at 110,000 miles. Other than that, the car is in great shape.
