Is paying 5k too much for a spotless '08 Focus SE 4D?

I got a 2018 for that price!

I think the '08 Focus is still a good option. It’s all about the car’s condition, not just age. A well-maintained low-mileage car can give you a lot of value. The age isn’t a huge deal after a few years. As long as it’s in good condition, it’s a solid option.

A car’s value is mostly about the mileage left on it, not just its age. An '08 with low miles could still be a great buy. You can drive it for years and still get good mileage out of it. I think it’s a fair deal if it’s been well-maintained.

In my area, an '08 Focus usually goes for $2500 to $4000, but it might vary depending on where you live.

That price seems about right. I paid 4k for an '09 SE coupe with 130k miles.

What color is it? I’d buy it right away if it’s the right color. I’ve owned four of these cars, and the lowest mileage I ever bought was around 100k.

I paid 5k for a 2007 SE with 35k miles, and it’s been perfect for 8 months now. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this one if I were you. I don’t think 5k is too much.

Make sure to check for any recalls.

Yes, definitely check for recalls.

With those low miles? Absolutely not too much. It may not line up with the book value, but it’s a great deal. Just check for rust in the rocker panels and pinch welds. If there’s no rust, I’d even consider paying 6k for it.
