If you can, go with the dual mass flywheel. It keeps these cars running smoother. Thanks for keeping them on the road! Hope you can find good homes for them if you plan to sell.

Why not go with a single mass flywheel instead?
@Vesper
A single mass flywheel can make shifting in first gear pretty rough – you’ll get a jerky start. Dual mass is better for smoother daily driving.

Honestly, dual mass is for people who can’t handle the stick. Real drivers go single mass.
That blue one looks amazing! Is that a custom paint job or factory?

That’s actually a factory color.

You can check the paint code on the door jamb sticker. Look for the code next to ‘PNT:’.

@Miller
Looks like the Ford Candy Blue. Be careful with scratches though – it’s pricey to fix! Easily $500 and an afternoon’s work.
@Miller
That’s Spirit Blue Metallic.
I think it’s actually Performance Blue.
FP Blue squad represent!
I think it’s actually Performance Blue.
Both names work, actually.
Does the blue one have S mode? It’s super handy for controlling shifts. I’ve got a 2013 model and it’s still going strong at 136k miles!

Yes, it does have S mode! When I bought it, S mode wasn’t working, but after putting in a used transmission, it’s good to go. Honestly, I planned to flip this car, but now I’m so attached – great mileage, low miles, and super comfy seats.
@Miller
That’s awesome! Quick tip – double or triple-click the voice command button to skip the voice prompt. Just say ‘Bluetooth audio’ after the beep, and it’ll connect right away!

Does using S mode help with the shudder in 1st and 2nd gear? I have a similar blue one and notice it’s a bit rough at low speeds.
