I recently installed a new Android stereo in my Ford Focus, but I’m noticing that the bass starts rattling when I turn the volume up past five, which isn’t very loud. I’m considering upgrading the speakers to fix this issue, but I have no idea where to start. I’d rather not ask a salesperson, since I don’t want to be pressured into buying things I don’t need. Does anyone have recommendations for speakers that would work well, what else I might need to install them, and a ballpark price range I should expect?
it is not any physical part rattling, it’s just that the bass is worn out.
I can only assume you should find the setting that controls the bass and turn it down. For speaker suggestions I have no clue. There is a website out there somewhere that has like all sorts of speaker stuff and how to install them.

But I don’t wanna turn the bass down, I like the bass!
Ahhh, I thought you didn’t like it. Sadly, it’ll always rattle. Vehicles just aren’t meant for high bass without a rattle, especially since the Focus is mostly plastic.

I mean, I like music, but this is really to annoy my Karen neighbor who called animal control on my dog for killing a squirrel. He’s filed multiple complaints against me and tried to get my car towed because I parked on the street.
Really need to source the actual issue first, otherwise just throwing a new speaker in there may end up with the same result. Is it distortion in the audio? Is it a physical part rattling? Is the speaker blown? Android units are known for having poor audio quality so I wouldn’t rule out the distortion, even at low volume…
