Honestly, Kia and Hyundai have been killing it with design lately, way more interesting than most German cars, which all look the same now. Funny thing is, the Cee’d was designed in Germany. But yeah, I might be biased.

It’s been FWD since 2019, so nothing new there. Most buyers don’t care about RWD vs. FWD anyway—they’re just after the badge and the perceived quality. Small hatches like this are bought more for the looks and branding than anything else.

Exactly. When I went to check out a 1 Series, I took one look at the cramped interior and said, ‘Nope, I’d rather get a 3 Series.’ Most buyers just want a small luxury hatch with the badge on it. RWD is probably the last thing on their mind.

Quattro shines in winter, though, especially with proper tires. I managed to get to work through snowstorms when everyone else was stuck.

BMW did a survey back in 2010, and 80% of 1 Series owners thought it was FWD anyway. Most buyers just care about the badge.
