Alright, folks, which is better – sedan or hatchback? Pros and cons?
I like the sedan, but I always wonder how much easier hauling stuff would be with a hatchback.

Definitely easier! I once bought 6 dining room chairs, and everyone laughed when I tried to load them into my hatch. Got them all in, though – surprised even my dad when I unloaded them at home!
@Rex
I fit 8 tires in the back once with the seats folded. None of them had to go up front!

I love the look of the sedan, but the hatchback is way more versatile. Bought a printer that wouldn’t fit in the trunk or back seat of the sedan. Ended up wedging it in the passenger seat but couldn’t close the door!
Hatchbacks are better for me – more space and better for putting in extra subs.
Hatchback all the way. It’s literally the same car but with more usable space. No contest.
The wagon is even better, but I don’t think they sold it in the U.S.

I’ve seen it around, just not in the newer models here.
Sedan handles a bit better, but the hatch looks nicer from the back and has way more cargo space. Not a fan of the sedan’s rear design.
Hatchback for the win! I have a 2013 Titanium hatch, and it has tons of space and looks great.
Hatchback, no question.
Hatchback all the way, sorry sedan fans.

I drive a hatchback too.

Agreed!
It’s all about preference, but the hatchback feels like a spacious long version of a sedan. Tons of room inside.
For the Mk3, sedan for looks, hatchback for practicality and parts availability.
Sedan will always be better. Wish we had it here in Europe – all we get is the hatchback and wagon.
If I could get the 2010 sedan internals with the 2012 hatchback body, that would be perfect.
