Thoughts on a 2019 Ford Focus ST-Line?

Considering a 2019 Ford Focus ST-Line and looking for opinions on reliability, fuel efficiency, and general driving experience. Would love to hear from anyone who has owned or driven one!

I owned one. They’re very solid and fun to drive. Never had any issues, and the engine has been reliable from what I’ve seen on forums. It’s a really enjoyable car and quite fuel-efficient.

What kind of fuel consumption did you experience?

@Ren
In the city, I averaged 6.5L/100km. On the highway, it was 6L/100km, and on country roads, I got as low as 5L/100km. A full tank gave me about 600-700km in the city and up to 1000km on careful country road driving.

Don’t expect it to last much beyond 200,000km, if you’re lucky.

These cars tend to last around 200,000km or 10 years. After that, you might face issues due to plastic components in the engine. It’s a bit of a risk.

For better durability, I’d recommend looking at non-turbo engines, like a Toyota Corolla with a naturally aspirated engine. They tend to last longer.

I like the Corolla, but the 1.2L petrol engine feels a bit too underpowered for my needs. I often drive longer distances, sometimes uphill, so I need something with a bit more punch.

@Ren
Ah, I was referring to the 1.6L petrol version with about 133 HP. It’s a four-cylinder engine and might suit your needs better.
