Traded my Focus for a Corolla… what do you all think?

I had the manual Focus. Loved it for what it was.

The manual ones are solid. I can respect that!

Except if you had the diesel with Siemens injectors… nightmare.

@Chen
Was that the 1.6 with 90HP?

Not gonna lie… the instrument cluster on that Corolla looks outdated.

Yeah, the screen looks like it was just stuck on there, but getting 50 mpg? That’s crazy!

You mean the 50 mpg part or the 430+ miles till empty part?

Honestly, I think it looks fine.

@Cody
Nah, it looks like garbage.

I honestly thought it was a car from 2010 or something based on that cluster.

Yeah, it does look a bit old and cheap. For a 2025 model, you’d think they’d have done better.

Traded my 2014 Focus for a 2010 Corolla. You’re not alone! That Focus transmission was a nightmare after 100k miles.

Same here. Still owe $4,000 on mine and it’s not even drivable anymore.

Why didn’t you get an extended warranty? Companies like Good Sam or Endurance cover up to 150k miles if you buy early enough. Definitely worth it.

Solid choice. That Toyota will last 20 years if you take care of it. I’ve got a few payments left on my Focus and I’m thinking about either getting a GR Yaris or just another Corolla.

Both are great options!

I’m at 125k on my Corolla and 182k on my 2015 C-Max. My fiancée’s 2013 Focus with the DCT is at 150k and still takes yearly 6-hour road trips without issues.

Not the Toyotas made after 2014. They’ve gone downhill, especially the hybrids.

That’s gonna be me soon. Transmission just failed on my 2013 Focus. Toyota, save me!
