Which Ford Focus model year is the best and why?

Trying to figure out which Focus model year stands out the most. What’s the best year and why?

2008-2011, hands down. Super reliable, no debate.
Doesn’t matter if it’s the US or Euro version, they both hold up.

Too bad they look like they were designed to make me cringe.

@Daryl
Didn’t know Ford made a car shaped like that, but sure :joy::joy:

You need to check out some more Fords then.

That joke went right over your head lol.

@Sky
I don’t think you actually get how that joke works.

Nah, I got it, I was just messing around—that’s why it’s not in blue :wink:.

2002, no contest. That’s when the Mk1 RS was introduced.

Okay, but why is that the best?

Because the Mk1 RS came out. That’s the reason.

2008 for me. My Focus has 347,000 miles and is still going strong. Reliable, comfortable, and looks good :sunglasses:.

Wow, that’s impressive. My dad’s 2012 Volvo V60 has 250k miles and still drives like new.

@Sky
Yeah, mine still runs great, though it rattles a bit when it’s cold. Small power steering leak and no AC, but I drive it every day. Love this little car.

That’s what matters. A car isn’t just metal and wheels—it’s your daily ride, your lifeline, your road trip machine. If it can do all that without constant issues, that’s a real car.

@Jordan
I’ve always loved the pre-facelift Euro Focus models.
