Is it a bad idea to buy a Ford Focus Trend now that it’s not sold here anymore? They seem to be going for reasonable prices in the used car market. Would love to hear thoughts!
The 2019 models are solid. By then, they had fixed the gearbox issues.

What about parts and servicing in Australia? Any issues?

No issues. It was a mass-produced car, and it shares parts with the Ford Puma, so you should be fine.
If it’s a manual, you’re good. The LW Mk2 Focus shares a lot of parts with the Mazda 3, so getting spares isn’t difficult.

Would you avoid the 2019 automatic then?

I’ve heard they fixed the transmission problems by 2019, but personally, I’d stick with a manual if I had the choice.
@Ren
Same here, but finding a manual in Australia is tough!
