Had my 2018 fixed under warranty for $100. Out of curiosity, I asked the dealership what it would’ve cost without warranty—they said $1200. If you’re handy, you can do it yourself. Just remember to get the alignment tool (about $200 on Amazon) and replace the CV shafts while you’re at it. It’s about a 5–8 hour job depending on rust and your skill level.
Be careful with cheap clutches. They’re not all made the same. Spending more upfront on a good kit will save you money in the long run. I’ve seen people go for the cheapest option only to replace it again shortly after. RockAuto has some solid options with good prices on OEM and quality parts.
Got my clutches swapped out a few years back. Still driving at 168k and planning to keep this car for a while.

Glad it happened now—you might still qualify for a free TCM until next year. If you can do the work yourself, this could be a $600 fix.
I’m not great with tools. How do you ‘clear the code’? Is that just hiding the problem, or can it actually fix some issues?
Just had my 2017 done at 123k miles by an indie shop. Cost me $3300.
