I had Ford replace both clutch actuators for about $1,000. Now, three weeks later, clutch B isn’t working right. It’s a 2015 SE, and it’s still under warranty because it hasn’t reached 150,000 miles yet. Could this issue be with the TCM, or did they just not fix it properly???
It’s probably the TCM. Even if they fixed it perfectly, it might not matter because the design flaw can ruin new parts. these cars don’t have a proper fix for this issue.
you should really take time and check the TCM. Have them fix it and then sell the car before it breaks again.
It’s likely the TCM. Tat code could mean either the actuator motor or the TCM is the problem. Since the motors were already replaced, the TCM is probably the issue. The 14M02 warranty covers TCM replacement regardless of mileage. While these transmissions have known issues, replacing the TCM should resolve the code problem. In my experience as a Ford trans- tech, the TCM rarely fails a second time.
Thank you for the info, i’ll take it into consideration
have the car checked again, it might be possible that did they just not fix it properly?
