I got something similar. I just bought the car and was hoping to use the steering wheel controls. Is that little screen not useful for you either?

It still works, but it’s pretty much useless. Everything now runs through the touchscreen, including the steering wheel controls. I had a local audio/video expert program it for me, so I don’t know exactly how he made it work.

iDatalink does sell products that connect to the factory wiring in specific vehicles and make them work well with aftermarket head units. That’s probably what he used.

It’s a small thing, but the lower button part of the dash kit looks pretty cheap.

I’d personally like one of the new units Ford is using in their latest models. But since I don’t know how to get one of those right now, I’ll give you a sturdy thumbs up for your new head unit.

AliExpress has a lot of OEM-style units for sale, and this one looks really cheap in comparison.
