Why does owning a Mk3 feel like a rollercoaster of emotions?

Laughs in Mk2 ownership

Yeah, except for the evaporator, thermostat housing, valve gaskets, vacuum hoses, door locks, motor mounts, sway bars, and control arms… still the best car I’ve ever had. Question my sanity every time I work on it, but hey, no car payments!

This is exactly me with my Mk2… every word.

True… I have the workshop manual, so it’s not too bad working on it. Just wish I’d had it rust-proofed better.

Where’d you get the manual?

Found it online, just searched for ‘Ford Workshop Manual’.

Ughhhh… sums it up perfectly.

:rofl::rofl: Man, that’s totally me this year… feels way too accurate.

Nope, this is how I feel about my junky Jeep Patriot.

Yep, that’s my Mk3. Thankfully, it’s a 5-speed manual, but the catalytic converter’s on its last leg… not looking forward to that repair.
